[FAQ] How to fix cloud sync

On a single device

  1. Ensure your Internet connection is active.
  2. Disable cloud sync:
    Android/iOS: Settings > Databases > (Name of the database) > Configure Cloud > None
    Windows/MacOS: Options > Databases > (Name of the database) > Actions > Configure Cloud > None
  3. Restart your device.
  4. Switch your cloud back and reauthenticate.
ℹ️ The problem might be on the cloud service side, so try the described steps again a few hours later and using another cloud instead.

Between devices

Follow each step on all your devices:
  1. Update Safe to the latest version.
  2. Disable cloud sync.
  3. Ensure Safe has all the same password (See "How to change password").
  4. Restart the device;
  5. Configure all the same cloud account.
ℹ️ In some cases cloud database “refresh” might help: move the cloud database file (SafeInCloud.db) from its standard location, then perform sync from the app (cloud database will be recreated with local app data).
